Pencil Study of Bladderwrack

This detailed botanical study is inspired by bladderwrack gathered from the shoreline below my croft in Lemreway, on the Isle of Lewis. Fascinated by the intricate forms, textures and air-filled fronds of this familiar seaweed, I created the original artwork as a carefully observed pencil drawing over a subtle watercolour background.

This edition is a high-quality giclée print with an image size of 198 × 198 mm, presented in an ice white mount to fit a standard 10 × 10 inch frame. It is printed using archival pigment inks on Somerset Satin paper, chosen for its beautiful texture and exceptional longevity. Each print is hand-signed and titled by the artist.
