Saltwater Spell is inspired by my own photographs taken during summer swims in the sea, a ritual that has become both meditative and essential to me. The turquoise shimmer of Hebridean water, the warmth of sunlit machair, and the quiet solitude of floating all feed into this piece. The original is a watercolour on textured coldpress paper.

Much of my work is semi-autobiographical, and this painting is no exception. It reflects that moment of surrender to the water — both grounding and magical — when the sea feels like a spell of its own. Each print comes with a high-quality, removable ice-white mount, creating a clean and elegant border ready for framing.
